The weekend long event was draining both physically and spiritually which made us rely on God even more. It was awesome to see some of the teens from Powason again and also meet a few new people. The worship was held outside underneath a large army tent, along with the dramas and testimonies/messages. The worship carried throughout the small town with the large amps behind the tents and Nick noted after we finished our second rally that the gospel is not only being spread to those who are underneath the tent, but to the neighbors as well and everyone in ears length. We have no idea how God could have used that in Bruce Mines. We all thank God for the sunny weather so that this could happen.

It was amazing to see God work this weekend. To be able to do what God has called us to do and to see how he used our actions and words to speak to those who heard. Some teens even asked Jesus into their lives this weekend which is always an amazing thing to witness as we so often forget the absolute joy that's felt when we realize that God has used us to welcome someone else into his eternal kingdom.

The weekend taught us all something and God used all of us in our unique ways, from powerful testimonies and messages, to late night jam sessions and midnight "Jesus" talks with bikers passing by, God was evident at Bruce Mines and we can only hope that what happened this weekend will never end, but that the teens who attended will continue to grow in Jesus and seek him more and more.

All in all, the weekend was a great end to our missions trip. Ending the week with a church service made us all feel at home and prepared us for the nine and a half hour drive that we embarked on shortly afterwards. We all thank God so much for the safe drive to Arnprior (close to Ottawa) and for all the strategically placed Tim Hortons along the way!!

God Bless, and thanks for all the support and prayers.

Lyn

North Bay July, 17 2008

Hey everyone,
Everything is going great. Everybody's prayers were beng answered while we were driving. Nick made it through the day just fine with all of us there to keep him alert. The Crozier duo got a bit of musical education on the way up with the rowdy sing-alongs held in the backseats (the majority of these songs were country, with quite a few repetitions of our favourites)

After we got into town, things went pretty smoothly as we set up, practiced, and prepared for our rally. We had supper with Pastor Kathy and Tim at the church along with a few other helpers and members of the congregation. We had a lot of fun after supper with the gang who came early for the rally. Props to all those sweet frizbee players in the area!!

A big thanks goes out to all those who came to see us and worship with us - we had a blast with you guys!!! Also, thank you, thank you, thank you to all those who so graciously welcomed us into their homes for the night, we really appreciate your generosity.

Please continue to pray for us as we travel to North Bay tomorrow.

     Yours always in Christ,

                        Meredeth Hughes

and the rest of the Kingdom team

Odessa Free Methodist Church - July 15, 08

Hey everyone!
Last night we were hanging out with the teens and adults from Odessa and the surrounding area. Mission's Trip is going really well, we had a great "SAFE" drive to Winchester today. Before leaving Trenton we had the chance to check out the Canadian Air Force Gallery, this was a great reminder of the sacrifice men and women gave for our freedom in the many wars. Once we got the van unpacked, and sound gear set up the teens began to arrive.

We had the chance to eat supper and play sports with the teens in the rain.. The service went AWESOME!! God was really moving within our team as well as within the youth group tonight. Lyn gave a great message with with a very powerful challenge. The youth group was very responsive during worship and the message (GREAT JOB GUYS!!!). At the end of the service we had the chance to have a spontaneous worship time, It was totally a God time. The Whole service was a God time.

I just want to say thank you to Pastor Amy, and Pastor Brown for having us and for the pizza (especially the Hawaiian pizza). Thank you very much for your wonderful hospitality.

God Bless,

Nick

Trenton Wesleyan - July 13,08 pm

Howdy everyone. Everything's going great here in Trenton and the whole team is pumped after our first night at Trenton Wesleyan. It's interesting to not have any idea what to expect this entire week and how that makes us turn to and depend on God even more. The youth group was smaller than what we had expected here in Trenton, but was awsome nonetheless. We started the evening off with a small game of football with the Roblin and Wesleyan crew which got us all pumped (and sweaty) for the rest of the night. There were a couple people before hand who were feeling somewhat discouraged during practice and before the actual event, myself included, but we prayed and told the devil to scram, and God really pulled through and the night when awsome. It was in these moments where we really saw God working through us and realized that we can't do any of this on our own. The worship, dramas, and testimonies came together awsome and Meredith spoke her very powerful and spirit led sermon about God's fire in our lives, with a slightly pyromaniac edge to it and it touched people. The small group of people at the event, totaling aroud twenty-five including the team, were really ingaged in the event and the words that Meredith spoke. A number of them came to the front to light their own symbolic candles, representing thier desire to be on fire for God! Meredith talked with a girl afterwards who broke down in tears, telling here that she wanted Jesus so badly in her life.

The teens at the group were awsome. I personally made a couple awsome connections with people and I think, in the end, the fact that the group was so small really allowed us to connect with the people there so much more and made everything we did so personal. It's just awsome for God to be using us like this and to really know that he is with us and how everything will come together in the end for the work of God! Jesus rocks!

We thank everyone for their continued prayers and for their support in this missions trip. We are all experiencing Jesus in our own ways through our services, prayer, and personal time with him. We ask for continued prayer for the rest of the trip and in particular Dusty as he's expereince the beginnings of a cold and the last thing we need is for his voice to go. So judt pray that Jesus would heal him and that Jesus would continue to knock down barriers in people's lives and punch the devil in the face!!

God bless, Lyn Wattam

Welcome to our site

Hello Everybody!!!!!

Welcome to our tour blog. Thank you again for all of your help and support. If you are able to please come out and see us. We would love to meet you!!!

God Bless,
Kingdom Missions team
